Sourdough Discard Crackers


Ingredients

  • 1 cup plain flour

  • 2 tsp paprika

  • 6 tbsp seeds (I used pumpkin, sesame and sunflower)

  • 2 tbsp nutritional yeast

  • 1 tsp salt

  • 1 cup sourdough starter discard

  • 1/4 cup olive oil


Preheat oven to 180°C. Mix flour, paprika, seeds, nutritional yeast and salt in a bowl. Add sourdough discard and olive oil and mix into a shaggy dough. Knead for a few moments to form a smooth ball. Divide into thirds.

Place a piece of baking paper on a work surface and roll out one ball of dough into a thin sheet. Transfer the parchment to the pan, brush the surface of the dough with a bit more olive oil. Use a knife to score the dough into small squares and then bake in the oven for 15-20 mins until golden. Repeat with remaining two balls of dough.
